Our winemaking philosophy is to capture the distinctive elegance,
finesse and vibrant fruit flavours of the Barossa Valley.

Choosing
our moments
One of the great advantages we have is that much of our wine still comes from some of the region’s oldest vines. Capturing the promise of the soils and seasons is a journey of exact moments - knowing exactly the right moment to pick so that we capture the freshest, most elegant and vibrant characters of the grape and knowing exactly how – and how long - to cellar so we bring together the very best of barrique and Barossa.

Bringing out
the best
Barrels don’t just hold the wine in cellaring, they bring out its best. After fermentation, our wines are still young, playful and ‘primary’. Barrels allow flavours and textures to seamlessly come together.
The influence of French or American oak helps to soften the wine, adding seductive texture and enhancing flavour. Like all parts of the wine making process the crucial key is knowing the exact moment to bottle so that the unique characteristics of the wine and region are captured in your glass.

Introducing
the wines
that made the
Barossa great
At Barossa Valley Estate, we have always made the wines that made the region great – Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Shiraz Mourvèdre, Malbec. To our absolute delight we also discovered that the unique soils and seasons of our elevated Estate in the heart of the Barossa also produce a rich, full-bodied, Bordeaux-style Malbec.
